FROM THE DESK OF THE CITY MANAGER
Paving Bids for 4th Ave & Henkle Ave have been received, and this job is being planned for late Summer or early Fall of 2026. As new rounds of Grant Funding Opportunities for paving open up, we will continue to apply for additional monies to apply to paving projects.
Some of Hedgewood Dr has been patched, and we are seeking Grant Money for this project to complete the needed upgrades.
Many have noticed the work being completed by Columbia Gas on Chillicothe Rd and voiced concerns over the destruction of the new pavement. Columbia Gas is restoring the pavement to the original paved conditions before they began work on installing their new lines.
We would like to remind everyone of the Gospel Sing in the City Park on Friday Evenings. The First Baptist Church also has a Wednesday Evening Service in the City Park as well. Everyone is invited to attend.
First Fridays has kicked off with a great turnout for June. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the outdoors and the festivities.
With Summer and warm weather comes many outdoor activities in all of our parks. We would like to remind everyone and ask that any and all trash be thrown away in the Trash Receptacles in order to keep our town beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
