The Gallia County 911 Center provides communication and dispatch support for the Gallipolis Fire Department.
When a fire emergency is reported in our coverage area, the Gallia County 911 Center will alert our firefighters by activating the radio activated pagers, the department Active911® alert system and transmit the call over our main radio.
The department uses a high band frequency for radio communication and dispatch. Each truck is equipped with a high band and MARCS mobile radios and ultra-high band portable radios.
Each volunteer firefighter also has a high band mobile radio in their personal vehicle
